Contemporary construction standards call for accommodation for the mobility-challenged, so ramps, flat thresholds, elevators, and so on are usually an integral part of the building's design. However, many existing structures, even if they're only a few years old, require that improvements be made to make it ADA-compliant. That's where we come in.
Whether it's a church, group home, school, health care facility, business, or other building with a public occupancy, we can quickly provide an "A*COM" ramp system that goes above and beyond our residential system standards to meet the more stringent commercial codes that apply. Besides the exterior improvements that immediately come to mind, you may have elevation changes inside the building - our systems are ideal for such applications.
Concerned that a ramp will displace stairs for the fully-abled? Not necessarily. We can give them a choice by incorporating a supplemental stair system that completely integrates with our platforms.
No specialized training is needed to install our commercial components - like our residential systems, all components are modular and require only a few simple common tools for quick assembly. And, like our residential systems, disassembly is easy for storage or relocation and will leave no scars.
If you're a designer, we can provide you with a layout and CSI format specifications. If you're a contractor, send us your bid information and we'll get right back to you with a quotation. Need submittal drawings? No problem - we'll provide them at no cost. Besides ADA, these systems comply with IBC, BOCA, SBCCI, CABO, Florida SREF, and ANSI. We can even customize the system to accommodate unique local codes.
Like our residential components, the commercial system is made of heavy-duty all-welded aluminum, has an integral skid-resistant surface, and is non-combustible. The system has a 4 square inch point load capacity of 300 pounds, or a distributed live load capacity of 100 pounds per square foot. Commercial ramp systems are 48" wide and offer three handrail options: a 42" guardrail, a 38" handrail, or a 38" two-line rail. Wrap it all up with a 10-year warranty against material and workmanship defects, and you're ready to go.
